Duffin Introduction Academic librarians at many institutions work to promote information liter- acy through partnerships with the teaching faculty, discussing with faculty the importance and need for graduate students to be exposed to ideas sur- rounding researching the lit er ature, organizing their sources, and presenting their scholarship in the online environment. Sometimes graduate students will recognize where their knowledge falls short and seek assistance from their university. This is what occurred at Eastern Illinois University (EIU), the authors’ institution.
