Acknowledgments
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge my family, particularly
my wife and our two young sons, for their ongoing support and forbearance
during my time on this project. I would like to heartedly thank the former
series editor, my dear friend and colleague for nearly three decades, Dr. Peter
L. Myers. His continued steadfast support and unwavering friendship has been
a solid base for much of my professional career, but also for my own personal
growth and development. I would also like to thank all the staff and consul-
tants behind the scenes at ABC-CLIO for bringing this work to completion.
Chiefly, I would like to thank Maxine Taylor, senior acquisitions editor for
Health/Wellness and Psychology at ABC-CLIO for steering me through this
journey.
Most importantly, I would like to sincerely acknowledge all of those indi-
viduals who are struggling with ADHD, particularly those with whom I have
had the pleasure of interacting with both professionally and personally.
Further, the hard work and dedication of so many individuals working with
individuals with ADHD and their families established a platform upon which
I could build this project.
