Chapter 3 is comprised of eight original essays by scholars and activists who are involved in immigration reform politics. It brings together key voices from diverse disciplinary perspec- tives that represent various positions on all sides of the immi- gration reform issue to enrich the view that the author is able to provide. Chapter 4 describes an extensive array of key organizations and persons involved in the discourse of immigration reform policy and politics. It profi les the organizations and actors who are stakeholders in the politics of immigration reform policy who shape the policy debates and are key to adoption, or opposition, of proposed solutions to perceived immigration problems. Chapter 5 presents data and documents gathered from the political discourse on the immigration reform issue. Examina- tion of these key data and documents, presented in an unbiased manner, enables the reader to assess for themselves why the problems are so complex and diffi cult to resolve, and which proposed solutions are more preferable to the reader. Chapter 6 is a resource chapter. It presents an annotated bib- liography of print and electronic resources especially relevant to the issue of immigration reform. Th e primary resources are books and scholarly journals that off er original research on the topic. To bring a degree of “life” to the data, fi lms and videos addressing immigration reform are also annotated. A chronology of the key moments in the history of immigra- tion reform is then presented. Finally, a glossary provides easy access to defi nitions of the key terms and concepts used in the immigration reform debate. It is followed by a comprehensive index.
